Custom V6 Chevy Trike
Vehicle Description
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The Trike was built in New Jersey in 2006 by an experienced industrial fabricator and has been over built with regards to safety and stability. It has been described as a one of a kind fully functioning industrial art, built from the ground up it certainly has some amazing and unique features. The handlebars are formed from ¾" chain and the complete front end, chassis, rear suspension and controls are all hand fabricated. The frame and rear bumper are formed from 1 ½” SCH 40 tubing which was cold bent and fully MIG welded. The Trike is dressed with diamond plating and has bulldozer style foot controls!
The power comes from a 1987 S-10 2.8L Chevy block. It also has many performance upgrades including a 700R4 transmission with upgraded electronic torque converter lock-up kit, Edelbrock performer-plus camshaft, Edelbrock intake, a Holley 390cfm carburettor and mallory distributors.
The Trike is air fed from a velocity stack peaking through the center of the fuel tank and exits through a hand made exhaust featuring Harley Davidson mufflers. All this rides on ladder bar coil-over suspension and massive 33"x21" Hoosier tires. When its time to stop it uses outlaw four piston caliper clamps on the front discs while stock S-10 drums halt the rear. The radiator is rear mounted with an electric fan and it uses auto meter gauges to provide the vitals. Other custom parts include braided lines along with stainless, chromed and polished accessories, chromed headlamp and LED tail lights.
In total this Trike has had over $20,000 invested and hundreds of hours customizing and fabricating many of its unique features. It is also a very fair and low reserve for a quick sale as i am buying new property. The Trike is almost brand new and only been ridden a handful of times as it only has 20 miles on the clock. It has previously been used at charity events and other public functions exciting young and old a like. This Trike has no problem drawing in the crowds!
I originally bought the Trike at the start of 2007 with the intention of bringing it over to the UK, however with Trike not being titled it is hard to bring it over to the UK without dismantling it first which would be a real shame and disrespectful i feel to the trike. I have come to terms with the fact it is best suited to stay in America where it will be loved and cherished by a new owner. The Trike is currently residing with a friend in Illinois USA, I fully recommend viewing the Trike as it is needs to be seen in the flesh to be fully appreciated, it really is a one of a kind machine and will most likely be the only one of its type ever to be constructed. Im sure it will win many shows.
