CUSTOMIZED SOFTAIL-Engine Just Rebuit...LOOK!!!
Vehicle Description
CUSTOMIZED SOFTAIL-Nice and Unique
Vehicle Description
This is a '92 Customized Softail. Here is the what and when of the upgrades.
Engine: Just rebuilt by local HD mechanic and properly broken in (by me). Port + polished heads (not on this bill). Line-Weber(E5) 535 camshaft. SS valves, SS pushrods and adjustable lifters. All New bearings, tappit rods, rebuilt oil pump, new rings + gaskets. ($3,500.00 without port polish). Also put in new stator and battery last winter.
Tranny: Replaced with new HD 5-speed 6,000 miles ago.
Tires: HD Dunlop whitewalls with approx. 1,000 miles.
Brakes: Standard HD with polished calipers, and new pads.
Exhaust: They started as Sampson 2 1/4" upsweeps. I cut them down to shortie length and added 4" Big City Thunder performance baffles, which sound awesome.
Front End: Extended the forks 8", and raked about 10 degree's. The blue fork boot covers were an experiment, which I decided since I don't like. Feel free to change. ($2,400.00). This was done this past winter by the same mechanic that did the engine.
As far as the rest is concerned I would like to let the pictures speak for themselves....but just in case, here is a list of some other things:
There are 2 seats (see the pics). The white solo is a Custom Corbin with red piping (shows some wear, but NO rips). The black seat WAS a standard Softail 2-up with removeable "quick release" backrest. I had this seat gutted and lowered ( sits 23" from the ground), and added red piping and the white star on the passenger pad. This created nice back support. Custom chrome wheels with chrome spokes. The lower forks are chrome and etched with flames. The headlamp (which is new) is etched with an Eagle head. I replaced the handle bars with 1 1/4" x 14" mini-apes, which sit on 4" risers. I have the original bars. With the bike (see pics) there is a Memphis Shades windshield, and a NESS Air Dam (needs to be painted + mounted). ALL braided lines, NESS swingarm covers, custom grips, retro mirrors, chrome controls, KURYAKYN 3" forward controls with heel, chrome inner primary, retro Air Horn, oil temperature guage, oil pressure gauge, and battery tender hook-up. The speedo is new (retro look). I replaced it when the engine was rebuilt to show the proper mileage. I have the original speedo.
Imperfections: There is a little rust on the front wheel hub. There is a 1" rip in the passenger pad, which I have covered with black electrical tape. There is an 1/8" chip on the left gas tank which I touched up with nail polish (can't hardly see it). There is a 1/2" chip around the bolt that holds on the 2-up seat. You won't see it with the 2-up seat on, but you will see it with either one of the solo seats.
If someone is a serious buyer, and meets the reserve, I will give you the name number of the mechanic if you wish to talk to him. I have receipts for all the mechanical work that was done. The bike is running mint and everthing works as it should. Please read my feedback, and know that you can bid with confidence. Email with any questions, and I will respond ASAP.
BECAUSE OF THE SH$TTY ECONOMY, AND THE FACT THAT THE WINTER IS COMING, I HAVE PRICED MY BIKE LOW, LOW, LOW!!!
