1968 HARLEY DAVIDSON RIGID IRON HEAD SPRINGER CHOPPER
Original harley frame and title, frame professionally slugged and welded. Not sure of exact specs, i jus rake'em and stretch'em till they sit right and ride well, my guess would be about a 40 degree rake on this one, with about 3 inches added in the downtube. The springer front is an original harley springer that's been stretched 10". Engine and trans are both freshly rebuilt, with about 500 miles on them to sort things out (i say about because as pics show, there is no speedo) Bike has a really rare billet mallory distributor, with hi-po twin plug heads and Dana twin fire coils. Rear tire is new, front tire has about half life left. New powder coat and paint on tins and springer parts. New chain, clutch packs, and rear brake shoes. Very nice new Lockhart engine oil cooler to keep the old iron cool in the summer. Old honda cr50 custom made jockey shifter, with old sportster valves for steering stops. Now for the bad: As shown in the pic with the oil cooler, there is some very light flaking of chrome on the upper front springer section (the part could be completely rechromed for about $150 if so desired) and an almost non-noticable 3/8" long tear on the rear of the new Le Pera seat (so small, could not get to come out in pic). Tank has vinyl, removable decals.
