1968 Harley Davidson Aermacchi Sprint 250
Vehicle Description
1968 Harley Sprint 250
I just recently purchased this motorcycle from a local friend, and I have quickly lost intrest. So rather than watch it sit in the corner of the garage collecting dust, I would like to see it move on to a good home where it will be riden and taken care of. Let me start by saying everything on this motorcycle works except for the horn, and I'm sure thats just a bad ground or something. I just added a new battery, ant the pieces you see in the toolbox are new rubber inserts for the handlebars.
It starts relatively easy (some times she can be a little stuborn...) and has plenty of smooth power to run through all of the gears. Speaking of gears, the transmission shifts fine, and the clutch feels good. The brakes work as they should, and the tires have plenty of tread and are in great shape. I dont know alot of the history on this bike, but as you can tell from the photos it is an older restoration that has been taken care of. The only piece missing from this sprint is the rear tailight lense, and they can be regularly found on ebay cheap. This bike is mechanicly sound and very tight (not some rattle trap!), and is alot of fun to ride around on, but I guess I just dont have enough time.
