1979 Harley Davidson FLH 80 Classic Excellent Original
Vehicle Description
This motorcycle is a one owner low mileage excellent original bike. This motorcycle was first driven by a Harley Davidson executive and then I bought it in 1980, so I have owned it for 28+ years. It has 13,257 miles and has been pampered and polished it's entire life. It is all original except for the battery, tires and tail pipes. It does have accessories correct for the period such as light visors, timing cover, gas caps, and cycle sound radio caddy. Everything works perfect and it runs like new. Some of the 1979 HD models had a problem with valve guides sticking and there was a kit offered by HD for $300 to correct the situation and this bike has that kit installed. The bike has run flawlessly on 106 octane leaded fuel for its entire life. This bike belongs in a collection because it is so perfect and original. The paint is perfect and original except for about three extremely small stone chips. There are no dents or dings anywhere on the bike. I have never offered it for sale because I didn't think anyone would take care of it the way I did but times have changed and I must downsize. At one show I was complemented on the restoration and it is not restored it is all original, If you are looking for an extremely perfect original shovelhead for your collection this is the bike.
