1992 Harley Davison FLHS, FLH Sport
Vehicle Description
1992 FLHS or FLH Sport. This is a Road King before they called it a Road King. I am the 2nd owner. This bike is relatively stock with just a few modifications. As you can see by the pictures, the additions are; a Batwing faring with windshield, black primary cover, highway pegs, passenger back rest, and oil cooler. This bike is ready for you to make it what you want. The motor and tranny are stock. I like stock because it very reliable. I replaced the rear tire last summer and the front tire back in May. When I bought the bike 2 years ago it was as you see it now. I was told when I bought it that the motor and tranny were just rebuilt and I beleive him. This bike has been very solid. It has never left me on the side of the road and starts right up everytime. I truly believe I could hop the bike right now from Texas and ride to Maine and back via California with no problems. The bike is garage kept 24x7 (except when I am riding it of course).
Here is what I know about the bike that keeps it from being perfect: Outside of basic wear, on the outer most edge of he faring there is a small amount of paint cracking, wear on the rear brake pedal, a small hole in the passenger seat (same size as when I bought it and my wife is on it all the time), the derby cover's chrome is starting to fade, and there is a small ding in the air cleaner cover less that the size of a pencil eraser.
Some of the things I really like about the bike are: a deep saddle that is really comfortable on long rides. It helps give you some lower back support. The Batwing faring looks great and really protects you. Lastly the front and rear shocks are independently adjustable.
This has been a really fantastic motorcycle for me but I want to start a new project and my wife will only alow me 2 bikes at a time.
I would rather sell this bike to someone local so that thy can come see it and ride it for themselves but will happy to sell it to anyone. I would prefer local pickup or can meet the winning bidder within 100 miles of Dallas, Tx at no charge on the weekend. If you need to ship it we can work something out. Only lower 48 states please. Absolutely no international shipping!
$500.00 due within 24 hours of the winning bid. The rest due in 72 hours or you loose the bid.
I am happy to answer any questions about the bike you have.
