1973 Husqvarna WR 250
Vehicle Description
Up for sale is a 1973 Husky 250 off road bike. The frame was an SK which was a dual-sport of the time. The motor is a WR and has been rebuilt with new lower end bearings, all new seals, and fresh bore. It has about 3 hours on the new engine. The pipe is that of a later bike but was chosen as it is very quiet compared to most Huskys. Shocks are aftermarket, rear wheel is from a WR model, and the ugly air bell has been swapped for a sock filter and custom splash covers for it. This bike has been started regularly, and is stored indoors. An easy way to get into AHRMA racing.
The bike was build with intentions for my son to race it, but he is no longer into bikes, and I have my own. Someone else gets to enjoy this one.
With regard to shipping: 1) local pickup can be arranged 2) I will deliver within 300 mi of SouthEastern Connecticut for a fee. Feel free to email for a quote. I may not be the cheapest, but gas is expensive. Shop around if you want a better quote and compare to your time and gas money to come get it. Sorry to sound like a jerk, but I must emphasize that the bike will not leave my property, either in my truck or a third party, until it is paid for in full. 3) I will crate the bike for you for a fair fee. If you are planning on having someone else pick up the bike, please plan on having it paid in cash prior to pickup. NO EXCEPTIONS !
This bike is a racing bike, and was sold originally without a waranty. Please do not expect one now.
