2006 KTM 525 EXC KTM525 Street Legal Title
You are bidding on the ultimate vet bike; a 2006 KTM525 in very good condition. This is a 2nd owner bike that I purchased with about 10 hours on it. The original owner had it licensed for the street although mechanically it is NOT street legal. It will still require a brake light and mechanical actuators. Turn signals may be required depending on your location.
The bike currently has 61 hours on it.
Jetting
First off, KTM 525s are jetted poorly from the factory and do not run clean off of idle. If you are going to ride in the woods you must have a bike that runs clean off the bottom. Imagine coming out of a tight corner and having to blast up a hill. Most big bore KTM will run clean for the first 30 minutes and then blubber when they get really hot. This KTM, after hours of trial and error is jetted to perfection.

I have ridden this bike in the tight woods of the Mark Twain National Forrest and it runs perfect all day long with no jetting or overheating problems…EVER.

Suspension
Suspension was performed by House of Horsepower in Oklahoma City, OK. Forks and shock were re-valved and re-sprung for a 200 pound rider. I am very impressed with the work performed by HOH. The front wheel sticks like glue in any situation, the rear end hooks up well throughout a broad range of terrain. I have NEVER made an adjustment to the suspension, it is that well set up.
Front Suspension – 4.5kg springs/125mm oil height
Rear Suspension – 9.2kg spring/150 psi

Overall
This is a perfect off road bike. It starts easily, is easy to ride and well suspended. You can ride this bike all day long in any terrain, fast or slow and have a ball. Why spend the time and money to replicate a perfect ride?
I’m selling this bike to get into road racing. I would consider a late model track bike or sport bike in trade.
