KTM SX 65 2-stroke Race Bike Runs Great!!
Vehicle Description
We are selling my son's 2001 KTM SX65. We bought the bike two years ago, and purchased a new (2008) model for him in February of this year. We have carried this bike with us as a back up, but have not needed it. So, it has not been ridden very much for the past six months.
The bike runs great. It starts on the first or second kick, every time, regardless of how long it has been between rides. We put new tires on it in January, so they have had very little use. I put a new top end on the bike around the first of the year as well. The bike has been raced many times. Cosmetically, it has many scratches. But, the bike is very dependable mechanically, and has a lot more riding left in it. This bike would be perfect for a kid 7 to 12 years old, just starting to ride. Or, for a kid that wants to give racing a try. It is a cheap way to get into the sport without spending a ton of money on a new bike. That is the path we chose. And, it worked out great.
I am very meticulous about the maintenance of my bikes. Since we have owned it, it has had the air filter cleaned or changed after every ride. We have changed the oil after every two rides. By the way, the spots on the ground beneath the bike in the pictures are from water. We had just washed the bike.
