1974 Kawasaki MT1 75cc minibike, good condition
Vehicle Description
Up for auction is a very complete, good running Kawasaki MT1 75cc minibike thats all original and has all the factory equipment still on it. A great restoration candidate or let the kids use it to learn on, just like we did. First all the good things. The bike starts easy and runs good, three speed automatic works well. The seat is in near perfect shape, leather is soft, has one tear 3/8" long on bottom right side, its rare to find a seat this nice on a minibike. The taillight is on the bike and is not cracked or beat up, again very rare on a minibike. The factory exhaust is in excellent shape and the factory heat shield is near perfect. The motor cases and side covers are not cracked or broken, but do show wear from feet on the pegs. The foot peg rubbers are like new. The gas tank has the original factory paint and decals and is clean inside, it does have exterior surface rust spots wear the paint has been chipped over the years, look closely at the pictures. The factory gas cap has a vent on/off option on it. The front end is straight with a very nice headlight and straight handlebars. Petcock works. The bad that I,m aware of. The float sometimes sticks and it floods the carb, my girls are 14 and 17 so this hasn't seen much use in the last few years, thats why I'm selling it. The lights have never worked for me and i have never tried to make them work, but the head light, taillight, and wires are there. The rear brake hand lever is broken and it needs new handlebar grips. Both tires need new tubes they won't hold air overnight, they do inflate. The throttle cable adjusters on the handlebars and the motor are broken, doesn't affect the way it runs, just makes idle adjustment touchier. Their is not a keyed ignition switch on the minibike, only a ignition kill switch, this may have something to do with the lights not working. This would be a great kids bike or a fantastic restoration project because it is so complete and has alot of normally beat up parts like the seat, taillight exhaust etc. in great shape. There is no title,it will be sold with a bill of sale. I will accept paypal, money order or cashiers check and would expect payment within one week of close of auction. Shipping arrangements are the buyers responsibility, I can be available to meet a shipper for pickup or the minibike may be picked up locally. Email any questions before bidding and the bike is listed for sale in the local paper so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
