Commando Vehicle Description 1971 Norton 750 Commando I’ve owned this bike since the summer of 1990 tore it down in early 1991 and its been in boxes ever since. The motor was rebuilt by Monroe Motors in San Francisco, CA in 91, I no longer have the documents to verify, I had many parts re-chromed but until June of 2008 I’ve never had the time to put it back together. Now I have it together but not physically able to finish. The bike starts and seems to run pretty good as you can see in the photos it needs a few more things. That’s the original miles on the bike and since the rebuild its been ridden a matter of feet not miles. It needs a front fender, exhaust mufflers, the rear fender is not original, and the retaining nut for the ignition switch is missing. The gas tank is fiberglass and has a small crack at the rear. It needs decals and air filters for the carburetors. Other than that minor adjustments. It has electronic ignition and starts very nice. It has the original brakes, carburetors, wheels, tank. side covers, and lighting. The handle bars are drag type and the mirrors are not what I wanted but you can do what you need. In early 2007 I had a stroke and my right side is not up to the task of kick starting anymore. This is a great bike you will easily stand out from just about anything out there. Buyer is responsible for shipping. A 500.00 deposit is required at the close or the auction the balance is to be paid in cash when the bike is picked up. The bike is sold as is no warranty expressed or implied. Happy bidding. My email is Jdm195@sbcglobal.net if you have any questions.
