2004 Royal Enfield
Vehicle Description
2004 Royal Enfield Bullet 500cc with 700 miles on it done up right. The bike has electric and kick start it is a 500cc 4 speed so top speed is about 75mph. This bike turns lots of heads and is a lot of fun to ride.
This bike has a lot of upgrades including; right hand shift kit (read description below), 7" tribar headlight and visor, beehive tail light, bullet turn signals, solo seat with lowered springs, bolt on pillion for passenger (takes about 5 minutes to bolt on or off), new mikuni carburetor and KS air filter, side kick stand, and finally shorty muffler for better sound and performance.
The right hand shift kit puts the shift mechanism on the "correct" side (right side) of the Royal Enfield Bullet and the rear brake on the left. The right hand shift makes for a much better shift on these bikes and gives the feel of a classic British right-hand shift 4-Speeds. This kit also eliminates the cumbersome linkage associated with the left-hand shift as found on USA models. I have all the parts to change it back to a left hand shift which I will include with the bike. I also have 2 shop manuals for the bike which I will also include.
If you buy this bike, be prepared for lots of attention and relate at least the following information. "This bike is a throwback to the great British singles of yesteryear. Literally so, as the original British Royal Enfield 350 Bullet was introduced in 1949. Most of the parts were manufactured in India and the bikes were assembled in England. The factory in India that currently builds the Bullet was licensed to produce the complete Royal Enfield motorcycle back in 1955, and has been doing so ever since. When Royal Enfield (UK) folded in 1970, the tooling for the single cylinder Bullet model was sent to Madras, India, where they are still being made using the original blueprints. This is not a copy of an old design; it is the real thing! New Bullets have been approved for vintage racing. This is the longest running production bike ever made!"
