It's a good investment with the Ebay prices steadily rising and the available motorcycle/sidecars declining for this model! 1938 BMW R 71 design – 2006 production year! Harleys may be Harleys, but this one gets all the attention :) If you drive this, you will come to realize how a Hollywood star feels about constant attention.
Very unusual and unique motorcycle/side car combination can be separated and driven solo.
Four speed plus mechanical reverse. Bing carburetors, seat belt in sidecar (especially for kids, who will constantly be after you for a ride.) BMW bench seat for driver comfort.
Electric start (and kick start), alternator equipped, new large capacity battery. (Engine painstakenly broken in – starts instantly.) Large capacity engine oil sump, magnetic drain plug. Locking gas cap. Locking trunk on sidecar. All systems work.
Four illuminated instruments on tank are: Left cylinder temperature, right cylinder temperature, charging system/battery voltage, engine oil temperature.
Has voice activated intercom for driver and passenger, 3 receptical power plug for GPS, cell charger, etc under sidecar hood. Wood rail type sidecar floor boards. Front English style license plate.
WWI style sidecar windshield and glare shield, luggage rack, handle bar end mirrors, trip odometer, MPH speedometer, toneau cover for sidecar, chrome sidecar front and rear bumpers, cycle windshield (easily removable).
