1976 YAMAHA IT 400 Ahrma vintage enduro XT DT ... RARE
Vehicle Description
Description: 1976 Yamaha IT400. First year production of the IT series, very interesting and rare. I included a photo from an original brochure.
Condition: not a show bike but overall pretty good.
Motor: at times starts and runs easily and other times it hesitate. I don't know if it is a carburetor or electrical problem. It is low in compression and it has some piston slapping noise. Kick starter lever swivel has some play. Automatic compression release cable is broken. Transmission and clutch appears to be OK. Muffler and silencer are in good condition.
Wheels: rims good, tires fair
Brakes: rear good, front weak
Suspension: weak, especially the rear mono
Controls: original with the exception of the grips and handlebar. I don't believe the speedometer reading is accurate. Headlight works, tail light doesn't
Frame: has scratches but no damages or repairs.
Body work: new plastic, the original tank shows some scratches but no holes or repairs, has new decals which already bubbled. Due to the age the color of the tank is a different shade of blue then the new fenders and side panels
Notes: matching frame and motor serial numbers, missing skid plate, sold with "Bill of Sale"
