Yamaha DT 50 Motorcycle / Street Legal Moped
Vehicle Description
This is a 1988 Yamaha DT 50 in great condition. Get around 100 miles per gallon ( I have heard of 110-115 is do-able) Cruises nicely at 45- 50 but top speed is around 53-55 depending on road slope. Has a 6 Speed manual trans which is very tight. I just did a recent complete top end rebuild with all oem yamaha parts. This is a STD bore engine still with all new upper end gaskets again from yamaha. Starts 1 st kick every time. Very easy to kick just about anyone can kick this thing over with no owrry of a kick back from compression. No rust on the rims or forks. Fork seals are tight and leak free. This is an enduro so it has a slight off road suspension. I dont believe it ever been off road though. Very clean for 20 years old. Looks to be all original tires are even oringal. Rear could be replaced soon but still has alot of life. Has working tail, brake, turn and headlight with hi and low beams. No tears in the seat. Normal scuffs and small cracks in plastic. Still nice for 20 years old. Fuel tank has a small dent on the passenger side you can just see it in the pics. No rust in tank at all. New fuel filter and carb cleaning all when engine was rebuilt. I just ordered a brand new battery and front brake lever which will be put on before pick up. Brakes are great also. This is a oil injected 2 stroke that doesnt smoke at all. I got this from a family member and was going to do a 100% restore on this but dont have the time. I really dont want to sell but i dont want it to sit and never get rode. This is STREET LEGAL IN MICHIGAN which means no endoresment, or insurance. Does come with a bill of sale which SOS told me that a Bill of sale is the only thing needed to get a registration for it which is less than 50 bucks.
