1984 Virago XV700
Vehicle Description
1984 Yamaha Virago XV700 w/extras!
Up for aution is a 1984 Yamaha Virago XV700- This is a great first motorcycle. It has classic cruiser styling , and a great exhaust note. The bike is in good shape for its age, and runs strong. I dont have enough time to ride this bike so its got to go.
As with almost all stock viragos , the starter grinds a bit and sometimes doesnt catch the first time , but has never left me stranded. If you do a little research online you can find shim kits and instructions to fix the starter noise if you wanted to.
This was my first motorcyle , and its great metric cruiser. The tires are metzler marathon 880 and have plenty of tread left. This year I put in a new battery , plugs , and air filter. All lights and indicators work properly.
It has been ridden only a few times in the past couple of years , but has had annual fluid changes regularly. I rode if for about 25 miles yesterday after the new plugs and filter were installed, and it still runs great
This bike has several great features, that I now consider "must haves" on any bike I wil ever own
self cancelling turning signals
ultra low maintainance shaft drive ( change fluid once a year!)
